Zero no Tsukaima/ゼロの使い魔 or Familar of Zero is the vastly popular fantasy series which has so far seen four anime series by J.C Staff between 2006 to 2012. It is based on a light novel series by late Noboru Yamaguchi and published by Media Factory. The series suddenly stopped in its tracks when the novelist passed away in April 2013. Now Media Factory Bunko announced that they will continue the series as the original author intended it to be as a 22 volume story. As of now, the author has already finished writing 20 volumes.
The series has proven to be extremely popular so it is not surprising that MF Bunko is pulling off this kind of stunt.

The series is about the under-performing tsundere magi who summoned a modern Japanese boy to her world, saw the breakout role for now famous voice actress Rie Kugimiya. After this, she was kept typecasted as the voice for tsundere loli characters. The manga adaptation ran from August 2006 to October 2009 and it also inspired three additional spin-off mangas and three visual novels.
The publisher did not name who will be the successor writer yet. Readers might recall this is the same situation with Empire of Corpses writer, Satoshi Itoh who managed to write out a 30 page introduction before he succumbed to mortality. The award winning author, Enjoe Toh continued his work and finish it later.
