Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is going to be part of a series of movies, and it’s not even out yet.
Warner Bros. have officially announced that the Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts is going to be part of a trilogy of sorts, with the first film coming this November.
Harry Potter author J.K Rowling is penning the script for the sequel and the flick will be handled by director David Yates. They’ve even released a short synopsis on the coming sequel:
The second Fantastic Beasts movie moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances.
The second movie will also introduce new characters as Rowling builds the universe further. The as-of-yet-unnamed sequel even has a release date, heading our way on 16 November, 2018.
There aren’t any details on the third Fantastic Beasts film just yet but they’re aiming for a 20 November 2020 release.
