Square Enix is porting another one of their classics to Steam, set to launch on 16 December next week. Unfortunately the version they are bringing is basically a port of the rejigged mobile game; horrible sprites and all.
Since its the mobile version, you won’t be having any of those classic 16-bit sprites but instead strangely flat cartoonish versions of the same characters. Still, PC gamers have been wanting a port to PC for this games for years so we guess its still better than nothing.
Final Fantasy 6 will also be re-released on the PlayStation Store as well as on the Wii Virtual Console in its original form for the SNES. Personally we probably won’t be getting this since we’re still pretty happy with our PS1 version of the game, but what do you think? let us know in the comments!
