The 30th issue of this year’s Weekly Shonen Jump has just revealed that the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime is getting another season this year.
The new season is called Shokugeki no Soma: San no Sara (Food Wars! The Third Plate) and it will be following the battle against the Council of Ten.
They’ve also revealed the returning cast members:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Sōma Yukihira
- Akira Ishida as Eishi Tsukasa
- Shizuka Itou as Rindō Kobayashi
- Rie Kugimiya as Momo Akanegakubo
- Kana Hanazawa as Nene Kinokuni
- Yuuki Kaji as Terunori Kuga
To top it off, the 25th volume of Yuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki’s original manga will come bundled with an original anime DVD (OAD) which will feature some of the members of the Council of Ten for the first time in anime form. The issue ships 4 July.
No precise date for the new season but keep an eye out in the latter part of this year.
