FOX confirmed an order for Minority Report series that was supposed to be sequel to the Steven Spielberg’s movie. The story is set 10 years after the disbanding of PreCrime after a serious flaw in the system exposed by its own ex-leader as shown in the movie.
This time, the story centers on Lara Vega (Meegan Good) who is a detective that is forced to partner with a former Pre-Cog “Dash” (Stark Sands). However, the former Pre-Cog member suffers from visions of the future after PreCrime’s demise while trying to lead a normal life. The ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama will be starring in the series too as Detective Will Blake, who is new to the job and serves as replacement when Lara is on leave.
Executive producer will be Steven Spielberg while the scripting is done Max Borenstein (Godzilla) and directed by Mark Mylod. Daniel London will be redoing his role as Pre-Cog caretaker Wally and Li Jun Li (The Following) will take on the role of Akeela, a CSI styled techie who works closely with Vega. Laura Regan will be playing the role of a female Pre-Cog, Agatha.
