Looks like The Secret World is getting itself a live-action TV reboot, and it already has a pilot script ready to go.
If you haven’t played it, The Secret World is a free-to-play supernatural conspiracy MMO that’s been running for quite a few years now, and got itself a reboot recently called Secret World Legends.
The upcoming show will be set in a modern day setting and it will revolve around the power struggle between three shadow organizations that are vying for control over the supernatural world that only a few can perceive.
It sounds like a pretty good premise already, and the game itself is very well developed and character driven it would be a shame if they didn’t at least try to make some kind of show out of it.
The pilot script is written by James V.Hart (Hook, Dracula, Contact) and Jake Hart. Johnny Depp, Christi Dembrowski, Sam Sarkar and Gudrun Giddings will be producing, with Pan Veasey (CSI-NY) to run the show.
