Why?
A new Ace Attorney game is coming soon on 9 July 2015 and the story dials back to the 19th century where the famous sleuths like Sherlock Holmes are alive and Phoenix Wright’s ancestor, Ryunosuke there doing his thing. Titled The Great Turnabout Trial: The Adventure of Ryūnosuke Naruhodō/ Daigyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken or 大逆転裁判 成歩堂龍ノ介の冒險, this Nintendo 3DS exclusive will be brimming with new features seen in the preview video here such as “Joint Reasoning” and “Closing Argument”.
The Joint Reasoning feature allows the two main heroes to work together to solve mysteries while the Closing Argument mechanic gives the hero a final gambit to persuade the jury and keep the trial going in favour of him and his client. This game is meant to launch new spin off series to the original franchise under direction of Shintaro Kojima. For a more detailed analysis of the game mechanics, you can check out this site.
However, there is zero announcement if this game will be imported outside Japan or not but considering the massive, even viral like popularity of this Capcom game, it will be met with massive objection from the fans around the world for sure.
