Logitech has launched its first ever ultra-light mechanical keyboard, the Logitech G310 Atlas Dawn Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard that’s not just light, but super fast for the eSports enthusiast. Weighing in at just 765 grams and with a compact form factor, the G310 dispels the idea that all mechanical gaming keyboards have to be heavy and bulky.
The keyboard will be using the brand’s exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches for 25% faster actuation than your standard mechanical keyboard. The switches in question have an actuation point of 1.5mm to let commands be received faster, because how fast you get your input in can mean life or death in a game. The keyboard is rated at a durability of 70 million keystrokes which Logitech says is 40% more than the average gaming keyboard. Doesn’t mean you should bang it around but at least you know you won’t have to replace it anytime soon.
The G310 also comes with a free mobile app called Arx Control which adds improved second screen capability via your smartphone. It works hand in hand with Logitech Gaming Software to display system statistics and other important information on your iOS or Android device. The keyboard even has a handy dock for your device that can be pulled out and placed anywhere you like.
Of course, the board will be backlit with controllable brightness options as well, but you won’t be able to swap colours like on Razer’s Chroma devices.
