Ghostbusters 2016

Paul Feig (Bad Teacher, Bridesmaids), the director of rebooted Ghostbusters has some choice words for the haters: “Go f_ yourself” via Twitter.

After patiently handling the downright hateful Twitter posts by some very irked fans who are still can’t accept the gender reversal of Ghostbusters for months, the director finally lashed out in series of Tweets below:

The irony is that so-called fans who are “crusading” against this movie reboot which already got blessings from the old crew – Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Erine Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts. Some of them even have a cameo role in this movie – Murray, Aykroyd, Hudson and Potts,  directly endorsing the reboot.

The movie cast consists of Kristen Wiig (The Spoils of Babylon, Saturday Night Live), Leslie Jones (Saturday Night Live, Masterminds), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Angry Birds) and Melissa McCarthy (Spy, Bridesmaids). Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Avengers) will take over the old role from Annie Potts as the receptionist of the Ghostbusters this time.

Official synopsis:

Erin Gilbert (Wiig) and Abby Bergman (McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Bergman and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world

The movie is set for busting the ghosts on 15 July 2016.
