7. Celebrities goofing off

Not all the action happens on stage at Comic-Con with many actors and film-makers treating the trip as a working holiday of sorts with plenty of down time between appearances but without the actual pressures of doing any work. As a result this leads to a lot of hi-jinks. Leading the pack this year are the respective cast of Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter who, in their off-time, decided to start a started a “dubmsash war”.

Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson) fired the first volley with Chloe Bennet (Skye).

Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) and James D’arcy (Jarvis)  dutifully returned fire. https://twitter.com/HayleyAtwell/status/619660442047283201

They enjoyed that so much they didn’t hang around before firing again.

The S.H.I.E.L.D team finally got their act together to respond:

The dubsmash war continues me and @clarkgregg against @realhayleyatwell and #jamesD

“Team Carter” responded the only way they knew how, with headbands: https://twitter.com/HayleyAtwell/status/619953071150473217

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D had no choice but to go nuclear:

Consider the mic DROPPED. @realhayleyatwell #dubsmashwar2015 @clarkgregg

They all managed to get together in the end but this may not quite be over yet.

The war continues. Bad Blood video as promised for our #NerdHQ panel. @realhayleyatwell @clarkgregg A video posted by Chloe Bennet (@chloebennet4) on

On the Marvel side of things, Fox Studios managed to get in on the action by posting what may be the biggest collection of superheroes ever in a single selfie with the casts of Deadpool, X-Men:Apocalypse, Gambit,  Wolverine and Fantastic Four

How many superheroes can you fit on a stage? #FoxSDCC #XMenApocalypse #Deadpool #Gambit #FantasticFour #Wolverine

Finally Ryan Reynolds showed on twitter why he is perfectly suited to play the “merc’ with the mouth”, Deadpool
