GSC Movies recently released a trailer for We Are X, the official documentary for Japanese rock band X Japan, which will be having its own special screenings here in Malaysia come August.

The documentary will only be available for viewing for two days, 5 and 6 August, and it chronicles the band’s 35-year strong career. The documentary originally premiered in January 2016.

The band was formed in 1982 by YOSHIKI and Toshi originally as X, where they carried on over the next 13 years old to disband in 1997 but reforming in 2007. They have sold over 30 million albums (singles and videos together) and have sold out Japan’s 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome 18 times. They’ve also inspired a movie as well as a manga from CLAMP.
