Just when you thought Naruto’s mangaka Masashi Kishimoto was done with the well acclaimed 15-year-old series in November 10, 2014, he dropped a huge Rasengan in December 19, 2015, announcing that the franchise will continue.
The new Shōnen series, which focuses on Naruto’s son, Boruto, is set to debut in Spring (March or April) this year in the Weekly Shonen Jump with the manga set to be released on a monthly basis. Kishimoto’s chief assistant Mikio Ikemoto will take over the drawing pen to bring Boruto to life.
To commemorate the series 15th anniversary, the son of the well-loved protagonist debuted in his own movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie in August 7, last year.
