Seems a new Vocaloid is joining the team with Sekai No Owari, the indie pop band behind “Dragon Night”, “ANTI-HERO” from Attack on Titan and “Mermaid Rhapsody” from Kuragehime will be getting their very own this month.

The VOCALOID4 Library, named Fukase is based on the lead singer of Sekai No Owari’s soft distinctive voice. The Vocaloid also already has its own image character, the design of which was chosen in a Pixiv contest a bit back.

Fukase’s official website also showcases four sample songs from the software’s library; with different producers. If you can read Japanese, you can check it out here.

The program comes with two different voice settings (or in this case libraries) in Japanese; featuring Normal and Soft modes. It also has one available in English but doesn’t have the two setting options. The set even comes with a plug-in called Electronica-Tune that can make Fukase sound more robotic (if you need it) and is optionally bundled with VOCALOID4 Editor for the Cubase music-editing software.

Fukase will be available in late January, with the download version launching on 28 January. The software will set you back 14,000 yen (about RM 524) if you decide to snag it for yourself.
