The final trailer for the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast film is here, and it’s packed with new footage.
So far, the movie is looking to be a very faithful adaptation of the original animated feature that we all grew up with. Sure some of the characters are a little weird looking (the Cogsworth and Ms. Potts for example) but the general feel of the movie is not lost.
Here’s the synopsis:
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is a live-action adaptation of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
The live-action adaptation of Disney’s classic stars Dan Stevens as the Beast, with Emma Watson as Belle, Kevin Kline as her father Maurice and Luke Evans as Gaston, with Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Josh Gad as Le Fou.
Beauty and the Beast hits the cinemas 17 March 2017.
