The movie follows the adventure of its author, Newt Scamander as portrayed by Eddie Redmayne who is a “magizoologist” a person who studies magical creatures. Rowling herself penned the screenplay, which will be directed by David Yates who also directed the last four Harry Potter movies.

The first images of the film are thanks to Entertainment Weekly, which shows Redmayne and co-star Katherine Waterson (Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein) and Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) in action. The film will also star Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton and Ezra Miller.

The film is also rumoured to show a wizarding school similar to Hogwarts and will visit the U.S equivalent of the Ministry of Magic, the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA).
