The first look at Godzilla for the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters movie is here, check it out!

Set to be the follow-up to the 2014 Godzilla movie from Warner Bros. and Legendary’s MonsterVerse, this tweet from Director Michael Dougherty gives us a glimpse of Godzilla, albeit not in his completed CGI form.

The tweet was to commemorate the 69th day filming the movie and Godzilla shouldn’t look too different from how he did in the last film, albeit a lot less blue. King Kong on the other hand, will have aged up significantly since Kong: Skull Island was set in the past, but we’re looking forward to their big fight in Godzilla vs Kong.

Here’s the movie’s synopsis:

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species — thought to be mere myths — rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is set to release 22 March 2019. Hopefully, we’ll get to see more soon!
