Disney‘s dropped a new trailer for their upcoming Cars sequel, Cars 3 and it gives us a little more insight on the story.
So far, the previous trailers have shown us that this film will be mostly about the end of Lightning McQueen’s racing career, following a really bad wipeout on the racetrack. What’s more, he’s getting pushed out of the sport by younger, more high-tech racers.
Here’s the synopsis:
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
I’m not exactly a huge fan of the movies, but I might just give this one a watch because of the darker undertones. Either way, check out the new trailer below!
