Series creator Hideo Kojima isn’t impressed with Metal Gear Survive, speaking out on it during his Death Stranding presentation at TGS 2016.
His reasoning for it is that the Metal Gear games are all about political fiction and espionage and zombies have no place in the series. He’s also denied having any hand in Konami’s new direction for the series, so we can safely say the game is 100% Konami’s idea.
Metal Gear Survive doesn’t entirely look like a bad game though, it’s just quite a departure from what we’re familiar with when it to the games.. Perhaps its the dawn of a new era for the Metal Gear series? who knows.
But can someone please explain the burnt-faced zombie unicorn men to us now?
