While Hideo Kojima hasn’t quite shed much light on his upcoming game Death Stranding, he’s let a couple of details out on what to expect when it does finally come out. Read on for more.
For starters, the game will be an action oriented title with an open world. You will have some story element but you will also have a degree of freedom to do what you wish. Kojima stated that there will also be some online elements but hasn’t revealed what kind.
The game will have action and combative elements but he wants the game to create links between players instead of the entire thing just focusing on beating each other up. Is this what the whole “strands” thing in the title is about?
With Kojima wanting to do away with that age old game mechanic for Death Stranding, the game would make for an interesting experience but it’s not without its risks. Most people would come to an action game expecting to be able to at least club your opponents into submission so we hope he has something ingenious to tackle that.
Death Stranding has gone into full blown development, with the game now having a game engine. No idea when it will be launched yet but it still seems quite a ways off.
