Capcom announced on stage at the Tokyo Game Show that Hollywood has a live-action Monster Hunter movie in the works. Oh my.
The news came from producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, but he didn’t drop any other details on the upcoming film. Tsujimoto however does say that the Monster Hunter movie is steadily progressing through development.
We’re not even sure what to expect from it, but we suppose the IP can be worked into a feature film of sorts, if it doesn’t suffer severely from game-to-movie adaptation syndrome like the many adaptations that came before it.
Hopefully we can expect more news on heavily armored hunters swinging overly massive swords in the near future.
