HP has just unveiled a new OMEN gaming laptop, along with a brand new PUBG tournament to challenge gamers in the Asia Pacific region.

The new OMEN laptops, namely the OMEN 15 and OMEN 17, are upgraded models from their current series of similarly named laptops with buffed up specs and added functionality of OMEN command center software and OMEN Game Stream.As for the specs, both devices sports VR ready NVIDIA GeForceGTX1060 (and above) graphics cards, 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and up to 8GB RAM. If that is not enough for you, the devices can easily have new components added with single panel access for storage and memory.

Also, in collaboration with Intel and PUBG Corporation, HP has teamed up with the lot for the launch of the new OMEN by HP Challenger Series Tournament in APAC and Japan, a gaming tournament based on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.The OMEN Challenger Series will hit Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, China, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, with a prize pool of USD50,000. Registrations will officially kick off online on 15 September 2018, with the Grand Finals to take place in Bangkok, Thailand in November.

The OMEN 15 retails from RM 4,485 and the OMEN 17 starts from RM 8,699, with the latter being available on the market starting mid-September. Those who purchase either laptop between 3 September and 3 October will stand a chance to win a trip for two to Bangkok to catch the tournament finals live.
