It was revealed on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump’s official website that Yoshihiro Togashi‘s Hunter × Hunter manga will be making its return soon.
Hunter x Hunter went on an indefinite hiatus in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine last June, with the magazine claiming that it would announce a date for the manga to make its return. After one year, the legendary Yoshihiro Togashi and his manga Hunter x Hunter will be making a return once again on June 26.
You might be wondering, “Waaa, this fellow can simply go on hiatus for so damn long?”
A normal artist/writer wouldn’t be given such leeway but Yoshihiro Togashi is in a different league altogether. With such a large fanbase, Togashi is pretty much untouchable. Togashi has been going on extended hiatuses (due to back injury) since 2006.
