The young Han Solo is the most coveted Star Wars role for young male actors, and the race is coming to an end as an insider has revealed that Alden Ehrenreich is set to be the frontrunner for the role.

Deadline reported that Ehrenreich became the favourite for the role after a screen test narrowed down the search to a handful of actors. The frontrunner gained a lead over other hopefuls that included Taron Egerton (Kingsman: the Secret Service) and Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction).
