BANDAI NAMCO STUDIOS has finally opened the doors of their brand new Malaysian branch; hopefully to bring more opportunities and transform the local game development scene.

Their new studio is situated at the Ascent Tower, just next to Paradigm Mall in Kelana Jaya. The branch was brought into being with help from MDEC, who helped speeds things along the way.

Makoto Ishii, Managing Director of BANDAI NAMCO Studios Malaysia said, “We will do our best effort to become the best content developer in Asia by producing topnotch contents that caters to this region. We would like to thank our partners for their continuous support in establishing the studio and we look forward to a wonderful future with much success.”

The new location will be home to about a hundred employees, both local and from Japan, to produce assets and artwork for Bandai Namco’s various game projects and franchises. This was after Bandai Namco’s work with LemonSky, a local production company that they decided to have their own center of operations here; much like the branch in Singapore that opened some years back.

This was after BANDAI NAMCO’s work (Tales of Zestiria) with LemonSky, a local production company that they decided to have their own center of operations here; much like the branch in Singapore that opened some years back. They will also be working in tandem with the Singapore studio as the Malaysian branch to become the company’s hub for visual art production in the region.

We’re looking forward to seeing what BANDAI NAMCO will cook up with their new studio!
