It hasn’t been the best of weeks, first with the passing of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden – also sang the opening number of the best bond movie to date, Casino Royale – then with the tragic news surrounding Zack Snyder and his family. A few hours ago, Roger Moore’s family announced on Twitter that he had passed away after struggling with Cancer. Moore was 89 years old.
With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated. pic.twitter.com/6dhiA6dnVg

I’m not the biggest fan of Roger Moore’s run as James Bond. Movies like Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me are too goofy for my taste and Moore always lacked the badass edge. However, there is no denying the importance of Roger Moore’s run as James Bond. Roger Moore proved that the James Bond character can live through the ages, with different actors of different styles playing the role. Through his seven films, he proved that (while it isn’t for this writer), the Bond franchise can play around with tongue-in-cheek humour.
Here’s the complete list of Roger Moore’s James Bond films for you to binge watch:
- The Spy Who Loved Me
- Moonraker
- Live and Let Die
- A View to a Kill
- Octopussy
- For Your Eyes Only
- The Man With the Golden Gun
We must never forget Roger Moore’s contribution to the Bond franchise, nay, the film industry in general.
Our hearts go out to Roger Moore’s family. Rest in peace, Sir Roger Moore.
