The first image from the upcoming Jumanji sequel has surfaced and its already looking pretty good.
The image has stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black, all in their gear and ready for adventure. Rumour has it that these aren’t the actual people playing the game though, as they could be avatars of the players; which are most likely kids. Its not too far fetched considering the board game has the ability to shape reality.
The film is being directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Sex Tape) with script by Scott Rosenberg (High Fidelity, Con Air).
Johnson also talked on how the film honors the memory of Robin Williams:
“An important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams. The love and respect I have for this man is boundless. You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of “Alan Parrish” will stand alone and be forever immortalized in the world of JUMANJI in an earnest and cool way. I have an idea of what to do and I think his family will be proud.”
Hopefully they’ll release a trailer soon.
