The latest instalment of the Japanese fighting game, King of Fighters 14 will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4 from August 23.With the latest release, 19 new characters will join the existing roster of characters of King of Fighters, for a total of 50 characters.
The story behind the latest instalment is the quality of the King of Fighters tournament has been affected as it turned into a major business and spawned numerous spin-off tournaments. Heeding the call to reform the tournament, a billionaire claiming to be the first champion, Antonov bought the rights for the King of Fighter tournament. His effort paid off as the classic participants of the tournament returns.
Whatever the backstory may be, King of Fighters 14 will feature the classic 3-on-3 team battle gameplay, which popularised the game. Also, the game also will include a wider range of Multiplayer modes, such as the VS Online Party Battle over PSN along with the Story and gallery modes.
Taking advantage of the PSN network, it will also feature an online training feature.
For the upcoming game, SNK and Atlus promise to deliver a “robust single-player storyline” and a revamped online multiplayer mode.
