After years and years of dormancy, Sierra is about to pop a new King’s Quest game and its set to launch today! This is literally the first King’s Quest game in 17 years and the market is very receptive to adventure games so we guess the time was just right. The game was produced
King’s Quest (2015) will start with Chapter 1 : A Knight to Remember, with five chapters total, similar to the formula Telltale uses for their game releases, with a Season Pass containing access to all five chapters coming soon. Inversely you can also pre-order the Complete Collection (on Steam it is RM 151) which gives you the same thing but includes an exclusive playable epilogue. So far the graphics are looking vibrant, cheerful and pretty whimsical.
The story focuses on an aging King Graham and his granddaughter Gwendolyn in the realm of Daventry as the game retraces his steps in an adventure that shapes the kingdom. For those not in the know, most of the previous King’s Quest games had Graham as the main character, so it would be a great journey for those who already know the series and those who have yet to have a taste of it.
Being absolutely huge fans of the series (most of you would have come across it at least once in your childhood) and we really hope the game can live up to its legacy with lots of humour and of course, tons of deaths!
King’s Quest (2015) will be launching for PC, PS3 and PS4 on 28 July while the XBOX 360 and XBOX ONE will be getting their release 29 July 2015.
