Koei Tecmo has announced a new Musou/Warriors title based on the popular anime and manga franchise Attack on Titan/Shigeki no Kyojin or 進撃の巨人 at Gamescom 2015.
From the images, fans can feel the similarity of the art style to Capcom’s Street Fighter IV or Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure: All Star Battle. So far, we have no idea on what kind of game this will be but judging from the trailer or images, it is safe to bet it will be an action packed title – given it is being developed by Omega Force, the team that is famous for Warriors/Musou series.
Koei Tecmo hinted this game with bold declaration “This is not “Warriors.”” on its official site. This might be due to the previous titles the team had worked on – from One Piece, Gundam, Fist of the North Star to the soon to be released Arslan Senki feels the same despite the different look. This time, the team wants players to let go of typical Warriors/Musou expectations.
So far, the date of release is stated to be 2016 for Europe and the US whereas Japan will be getting this game in Winter 2015. The game will be set to fight its desperate battles on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.
