Horror is my least favourite film genre because for the most part horror movies are substanceless garbage. I say for the most part, because there are rare instances where a horror movie not just provides genuine scares — not just random nonsensical jump scares — but also contains a good story with fleshed out characters. Films like Conjuring, The Babadook and It Follows come to mind. And Andrés Muschietti’s It, based on the Stephen King novel of the same title is set to follow suit.

The latest It trailer just dropped and holy cow is it awesome! I mean, I almost shat my pants, but it’s awesome.

It hits cinemas on 7 September 2017.
