Christopher Lee, well known for his countless portrayals of beloved characters like Saruman from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies, Count Dooku in the Star Wars movies and Dracula among hundreds of others, passed last Sunday.
The public announcement was purposefully delayed so Lee’s wife could inform family first.
He has also lent his voice to video games like Kingdom Hearts, EverQuest2, Deus Ex Machina 2 and of course Lord of the Rings : The Battle for Middle-earth. The veteran actor remained active well up till his death of which was caused by respiratory and heart problems. Lee apparently has also completed work on an unreleased movie Angels in Notting Hill so we might be able to catch him in action one last time.
Rest in Peace Christopher Lee, you will be missed but your legacy will live on.
