It’s time to get flexible with Lenovo with their brand new YOGA devices. Yep, Lenovo has brought in a new tablet and hybrid notebook, the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro and YOGA 3 Pro, into the Malaysian market. So what can we expect from these new devices? Read on

The YOGA 3 Pro

YOGA 3 PRo

Compared to its predecessor, the YOGA 2 Pro, the YOGA 3 Pro is now thinner and lighter. At just 12.8mm thin, and 1.19kg, you won’t be going to have a major workout when you’re carrying this notebook.

Of course it isn’t all looks only. Lenovo has kitted out the YOGA Pro 3 with quite a bit of tech. There’s its 13.3-inch screen. It’s a QHD+ screen with a whopping 3200 x 1800 resolution with durable Gorilla Glass, so you won’t have to worry about scratches… much. Then there’s the sound. Lenovo has worked together with JBL to offer premium built-in speakers that should go well with the YOGA 3 Pro’s screen.

How about performance you might ask? Of course a notebook isn’t just an entertainment machine and the YOGA 3 Pro does come with some decent innards including Intel’s Core M 5Y70 processor, up to 8GB DDR 3 of system memory, up to 512GB of SSD storage, Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Intel’s HD Graphics 5300 (don’t expect heavy gaming on this). And with its 4 cell 44.8WH battery, you can expect up to 9 hours on this baby.

Lenovo has also included their latest Harmony software, allowing users to customize their device and discover new apps. Features like automatic brightness and colour temperature adjustments based on apps, motion or touch control enabling based on mode and a whole lot more are included and compatible with over 50 popular applications.

Of course, like its moniker hints, the YOGA Pro 3 is incredibly flexible with not two, but six focus points when you flip it open. How’s that for being bendable.

The YOGA Tablet Pro 2

Lenovo Tablet 2 Pro

It isn’t the notebook YOGA’s that are getting some love from Lenovo though, there’s a new tablet in town from them in the form of the YOGA Tablet Pro 2. What sets it apart from the rest of the other tablets in the market though is its built-in pico projector. Yep, you read that right, Lenovo has managed to whack in a projector, of all things, into their new YOGA Tablet Pro 2. Why you might ask? So you can show off to your buddies (or impress your clients/bosses while giving presentations).

There’s also some decent specs kitted out on this 13.3-inch, Quad HD IPS display tablet well. It’s powered by the Intel Atom Z3745 processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 32GB of storage that is expandable up to 64GB via microSD, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, a rear 8-megapixel shooter, LTE support and a whopping 9600mAh that, according to Lenovo, gives you up to 15 hours of usage.

Lenovo has also added some other nifty features into their tablet. They’ve added a button for easier access to the kick stand, giving users access to the three original view modes that the YOGA tablets are famous for; Tilt, Stand and Hold. Now there’s a new view mode as well called Hang which allows users to hang the tablet via a hole in the kick stand.

So how much can we expect to fork out for these new devices from Lenovo? The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro will be priced at RM1,999, while the YOGA 3 Pro will cost a pretty penny at RM4,999.

There are also two other YOGA Tablet 2 variations available, the 8-inch YOGA Tablet 2 priced at RM1,099 and the 10-inch YOGA Tablet 2 with Windows priced at RM1,599.
