LG is bringing wearables to kids with its new KizON wristband. Excuse the tongue-twisting name if you can, but this wristband may be a parent’s best best friend yet – with the ability to keep track of their kids’ whereabouts.
KizON uses GPS and Wi-Fi that provides real-time location information of their kids via their smartphone.
The device integrates a feature called One Step Direct Call, that enables parents to easily communicate with their children aside from feeding them location info throughout.
Communication works both ways too, as children can dial a pre-configured number to reach their parents.
KizON also features Location Reminder which gives parents the ability to pre-set the device to provide location alerts at specifc times throughout the day. Handy indeed.
With the built-in 400mAh battery, battery life is rated at 36 hours and parents will be pushed an alert on their smartphones should the battery run low.
Made from eco-friendly polythiourethane (PTU), KizON is water-resistant and stain resistant. The wristband comes in blue, pink and green.
There’s no mention of price and availability, but we’ll be sure to update this when we’ve gotten word.
