If you’re acquainted with Sphero’s BB-8, then you’ll know how cute a little rolling ball droid could be. LG has debuted the LG Rolling Bot at Mobile World Congress 2016, and it looks totally adorable.

Basically the droid is one of the multitude of accessories designed to be used with the LG G5, and its probably the wackiest of the lot. Using the G5 device manager, the G5 basically turns into a remote that can control the ball anywhere in the world (literally!) as long as both are connected to the ‘net.

The Rolling Bot has a camera that it can record videos with, a speaker so you can speak with people and even an IR blaster so you can turn on your telly. Last but not least is a laser pointer which you can use to either annoy/excite your cat or make people think there’s a sniper oogling them from somewhere in the house.

The two main hemispheres of the ‘Bot are responsible for its locomotion, while all the hardware (speakers, camera etc) are placed in the center stripe. Not as simple to use as say, a remote control car and it can’t go particularly fast but its still a pretty cool piece of tech.

No word on a potential pricing yet but you can bet your balls it will be on the market soon.
