It’s barely even a year since Android Wear was announced and LG unveiled its G Watch but the company is already ramping up its development cycle by teasing us with their next smartwatch.
So are we going to get a boring ol’ square again? Not so this time as LG’s going to pull a Motorola by making it’s next smartwatch circular. We all know when Android Wear was first announced, Motorola’s Moto 360 captured our imagination with what smartwatches could be with it’s circular/normal watch design. Obviously LG took the hint because now they’ve decided to follow suit. The teaser video is pretty short but from the quick look at it, its pretty obvious where LG will be headed in the design department for this particular smartwatch.

And if the screenshot we manage to get is to be believed, we’re not going to just see a smartwatch with a circular design like the Moto 360, but something more akin to normal wristwear. Yep, based on this image, we might just be seeing an LG smartwatch with more closely resembles a Casio or Tag then well… a smartwatch. Aside from the design aspect though, nothing else can be gleamed from this teaser. Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait in suspense too long because LG is set to unveil their new smart wrist wear next week during IFA 2014.
Hopefully it really looks like a normal watch because, to be honest, we’re kind of tired of smartwatches looking anything other than watches.
