While magic arrows aren’t anything new to the Legend of Zelda franchise, the ones Link is firing off in this new gameplay video look a little different.
The video is pretty short but you can see Link utilising four types of arrows. Fire and Ice arrows are generally nothing strange to the franchise but from observations, they don’t seem to do as much damage as they typically did in the past; but have interesting additional effects.
Aside from the regular arrow, fire arrow and ice arrow, Link also gets to use Bomb Arrows, which pretty much can be described as being dynamite on a stick, making a sizeable explosion on that outpost, as you can see below:
The fire arrow also seems to keep the enemy alight for a short period of time, dealing a bit more damage and making on drop it’s shield.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is really shaping up into a game we’re looking forward to playing; with survival elements and an open world to explore, we’re a little sad that it will only be out for the Wii U and Nintendo’s mysterious NX console.
