The upcoming live-action THE IDOLM@STER.KR TV series just dropped an English-subbed trailer earlier this week, check it out!

The series started running on Friday last week in South Korea, and will air weekly for a total of 24 episodes. It will also be available on Amazon Prime Video for those who have access to the service and it will have subtitles in various languages including English and Japanese. Not all subtitle options are available across all regions so you might want to check what is available in your region.

But if you’re hoping to see characters from the games, they won’t be in this show.

Here’s the synopsis, as described by Amazon:

THE IDOLM@STER.KR, set in the world of Korean entertainment production, stars Korean idols of course, as well as other Japanese and Thai hopefuls. Like the original game, the drama follows a group of young women as they embark on a career in the entertainment industry, and depicts their sweat and tears, their hopes and dreams.

This series, like many before it follows the same formula, centering around a new group of idols and their growth, friendships and ultimately performances. However, this one is set in South Korea, so it will be following that country’s entertainment industry.
