It seems that Supreme has set its sight on anime and otaku fandom. The streetwear brand looks set to collaborate with famed mangaka (manga creator) Katsuhiro Otomo, the man behind the iconic Akira manga and anime.
The announcement over the weekend by Otomo during a televised interview at Tokyo’s GALLERY X BY PARCO. It seems that this isn’t the first time he’s been approached by Supreme to collaborate as he explained that he had turned down the opportunity a number of times in the past. before finally agreeing to the co-branded
We guess that the brand’s persistence finally paid off as the Akira creator has finally agreed to the co-branded endeavour. The best part of this new is that we might be seeing the collection drop as early as this month (October).
