Interest in virtual reality is really in high swing with this year looking like the year VR really takes off. And now McDonalds wants in on the action.

Dubbed “Happy Goggles”,  the fast food chain’s version of Google’s Cardboard headset is made out of a Happy Meal box. Quite literally!

The Happy Goggles apparently will be rolling out to restaurants in Sweden over the weekends of 5 – 12 March with 3,500 units to be made, for about $4 bucks each.

This however it just a test, and if it ends up being popular we might see Happy Goggles come to other regions.

To sum up how it works, Happy Goggles functions much like the Google Cardboard, running off a smartphone inserted into the headset.
