Steam main page

We’re pretty sure that yesterday evening, many of you were extremely angry that Steam had been blocked in Malaysia. Well you all can breathe a collective sigh of relief as the block on Steam in Malaysia has finally been lifted by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

Yesterday’s block of the games distribution platform went into play when the game Fight of Gods was not taken down from it, after being given a 24-hour ultimatum from the MCMC the day before.

However, it seems that Steam has removed the purportedly offensive game, at least for Malaysian users and as such, MCMC must have deemed it appropriate enough to lift the block on the games distribution platform in the country.

So if you were down and pissed that you couldn’t log on or play any of your Steam games last night, don’t worry, it looks like it’s back up and running again.

Of course, if you were one of those people that were on Google DNS, we doubt that you had any issues, though its good to see that gamers will be able to go back to their regular gaming schedule after this major kerfufle.
