Haven’t we heard this before? Michael Bay is beginning to sound like Dominic Toretto in the Fast and Furious franchise. How many times has he said, “one last ride?”

In an interview with Fandango, the auteur of explosions had this to say:

These movies that I’ve done, they are massive movies. They take a lot out of you. I’ve done it enough, and I’ve had a great time doing it. I’m going out with a bang on this one, and I feel like you gotta go out while you’re ahead, you know. I think I’ve had a good run, and I’ve got a lot of other movies I want to do.

Sureee, Michael Bay. We believe you.

To his credit, Michael Bay isn’t the worst director in the world or anything like that. In fact, his recent non-Transformers movies like 13 Hours and Pain and Gain prove that the man can helm good movies. But for whatever reason *cough* money *cough* he loves making these Transformers movies. Enough is enough, Michael Bay. The Transformers franchise needs to go in a different direction with a different director. You know what? Speaking of “one last ride,” I wouldn’t mind seeing Michael Bay tackle a Fast and Furious movie.

Transformers: The Last Knight will be out in Malaysian cinemas on 21 June 2017.
