After much anticipation, Microsoft is revealing its brand new “Project Scorpio” gaming console today. This console is officially named Xbox One X – a pretty rad name, if you ask me.

For those of you who are wondering if you need to purchase brand new Xbox accessories, I’ve got good news. Microsoft has announced that all existing Xbox One accessories will be compatible with the new Xbox One X. The same can be said for all existing Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles and Xbox One games.

If that’s the case, why buy the Xbox One X at all? Well, Microsoft is planning to use “super sampling” on the new One X to enhance the visuals of new games, making it look better even on 1080p TVs. In addition, the Xbox One X will ship with 6 teraflops of graphical power – higher than the PS4 Pro – and a custom GPU engine on Scorpio that functions at 1172Mhz, a huge increase over the Xbox One’s 853MHz. And for all you movie buffs, Microsoft is also shipping the Xbox One X with an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive for 4K movies and entertainment, and 1TB of storage.

Xbox One X will make its debut worldwide on November 7, priced at 499 USD.
