The official site for upcoming original animation Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin has released new key visuals and a third trailer. Penned by veteran Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, it will be animated into four episodes to be released beginning on 28 February 2015.
It’s a reboot and retelling of Mobile Suit Gundam, which has its origins in 2001 to 2011 with a total of 23 tankubon manga volumes. Yasuhiko will be the chief director for the adaptation partnering Sunrise Studio veteran Takashi Imanishi (Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO) as episodic director. Official scriptwriter will be Katsuyuki Sumisawa (Inuyasha, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing).
Mobile Suit Gundam Origin focuses on Char Aznable and his sister during the One Year War in the Universal Century setting. Check out the three preview videos below:
