Bandai Visual recently dropped a teaser trailer announcing a second season for the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt anime, which is set to drop next spring.
The teaser, which sadly is no longer available to view which included the tagline “The War is not over yet…”
The first season of the anime started streaming in December last year, with its final episode debuting in April this year. It even got a director’s cut called Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky, which had extra scenes.
As the story goes, it’s set in the One Year War (UC 0079), similar to the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, and it follows two ace pilots in the “Thunderbolt Sector” a zone full of dangerous space debris.
There isn’t a set date for the release of the new season or how many episodes it has, but at least we can expect it early next year.
