We get to see a little girl able to manipulate environment as she can create an aurora effortlessly. Then we see HRG or Noah Bennet looking with concern at her then the view switches to Zachary Levi (Chuck) who is looking at the whole scene via his binoculars with a certain complicated expression.
The official synopsis of the series is “reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season“. Perhaps what it means that the new mini-series will go back to the root of the Heroes: ordinary people discovering that they have something extraordinary inside them. So far, we do not know what is Levi’s role in the story yet but he will play a major role in the story. Sadly, Sylar, the antagonist is not coming back though, the actor Zachary Quinto (Star Trek’s Spock) declined to reprise his role with “[Series creator] Tim [Kring] reached out to me when they decided they were going to do it. We had a great conversation. It was such a meaningful experience for me. I just felt like I didn’t want to go back to it.”
NBC did not say if any other characters will be back such as the immortal cheerleader or the Japanese Hiro Nakamura.
