Sandman Overture Collection
What would a Christmas comic fan gift guide be without some actual comic books! First up is the prequel to Neil Gaiman’s magnum opus, The Sandman, charting the adventure that befell Morpheus, Lord of Dreams before the events that took place in Sandman #1, which was first published in 1988!
The Sandman reinvented a not-too-classic character, helped the nascent graphic novel market of the time to flourish, popularised the idea that comic could be art and boosted the popularity of the Vertigo imprint of DC comics and a decidedly different style of comics to superheroes bashing each other on a monthly basis.
The stories in The Sandman’s encompassed tales of gods and monsters, from a serial killer convention, to a trip to hell, to the land of dreams all while telling one huge overarching story. Overture is a welcome, if brief, return by the creator to the character that made his name.

3D Effects Lights
These wall mounted lights, that appear to be embedded in the wall itself, are great for adding a little light to any geek’s life. While various models are available, the most impressive ones are those modelled after the most recognisable of The Avengers weapons, Thor’s Hammer, Mjolnir and Captain America’s shield.
The Iron Man one though, along with those of the faces of The Hulk and Spider-man, are just plain creepy.
