Rejoice, Netflix’s breakout superheroo hit, Daredevil has finally gotten a release date and with it comes a new teaser trailer for the series. This is great news now especially since Netflix has been released worldwide, including here in Malaysia.
The date to keep in mind is March 18 2016 and in the new season, we’ll be seeing the debut of another Marvel comics favourite, The Punisher, and Matt Murdock’s femme fatale girlfriend, Elektra Natchios.

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
From the looks of things, Matt Murdock is going to have his work cut out for him this season. It’s interesting to note that aside from Elektra, whom we’re assuming will be associated with the ninja group The Hand, there isn’t any major antagonist like The Kingpin from the first season. And judging from the way Frank Castle has been portrayed in the synopsis, we might just both Daredevil and The Punisher butting heads a lot throughout the series.
The announcement of the second season of Daredevil is welcome news especially since Netflix is now available locally AND the show is available for streaming here. Just one more major reason for many to subscribe to the service now that its here.
