Objections will be firmly overruled as the new Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice, receives its Western release date – but it’s not law as you know it, as the courtroom is replaced by spiritual séances.
The plot involves Phoenix visiting the far flung kingdom of Khura’in, where justice is meted out using the princess’ spiritual visions of the deceased’s final moments, leaving defendants purely at Her Majesty’s mercy rather than being represented by anything so corporeal as lawyers.
As the Ace Attorney, you’ll have to fight the system and bring justice to… well, justice.
This visual novel/courtroom drama game will be released on the Nintendo eShop in September for digital download to your 3DS, and brings back fan-favorite characters such as Miles Edgeworth, Ema Skye, and Maya Fey.
The game also has a subplot involving Phoenix’s employee Apollo Justice, who has to keep the Wright Anything law firm alive through one of its toughest cases yet.
With tongue firmly in cheek and gavel firmly banged, Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice is a fun-filled legal romp (how often can you say that sentence) whose trailer you can see here:
