The Fire Emblem fans still smarting from Fire Emblem Awakening will be overjoyed with the news that, Intelligent Systems is coming up with another chapter for the popular 3DS game. Unfortunately, Nintendo has not said anything beyond that the game will be “the likes of which have never be seen in the series up until now.”
From what trailer shows so far, there is a noticeable clash of East versus West as weapons and armours from Japanese Sengoku Jidai and European Renaissance mingle in mortal combat. More characters are set to appear in their respective classes such as the Pegasus Rider or Knight and the battle system will still carry the same charm of the series. Some extra scenes are also thrown into the mix but with no context behind it yet so nothing significant is known yet up to this point.
For now, in Japan, the game is called Fire Emblem If. No release date or anything else is known yet. The character designs are by Yusuke Kozaki and story is written by Shin Kibayashi ( Kindachi Case Files). Check out the trailer below.
