The new visual key for the anime adaptation of Yuusuke Murata’s One Punch-Man /ワンパンマン is finally out on the official site.
Directed by Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy, Bokurano) with Tomohiro Suzuki as the scriptwriter whereas animation is handled by the famous production house Studio Madhouse (Overlord, Claymore). Hiroko Moriguchi (Mobile Suit Gundam F91, Zeta) and JAM Project (Bakuman, Garo The Animation) are the designated theme singers of the series.
Makoto Furukawa (Aldnoah Zero, Arslan Senki) is voicing Saitama the main character with other supporting cast such as Kaito Ishikawa (Assassination Classroom, Gangsta), Yuuki Kaji (Accel World, Air Gear) and Yuuichi Nakamura (Aquarion Evol, Arakawa Under the Bridge).
Here’s the official synopsis:
“In this new action-comedy, everything about a young man named Saitama screams “AVERAGE,” from his lifeless expression, to his bald head, to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking fellow doesn’t have your average problem… He’s actually a superhero that’s looking for tough opponents! The problem is, every time he finds a promising candidate he beats the snot out of them in one punch. Can Saitama finally find an evil villain strong enough to challenge him? Follow Saitama through his hilarious romps as he searches for new bad guys to challenge! “
